What I’m doing now

Updated December 6th, 2024, from Cardiff, UK.

Getting ready to go home

I've lived in Cardiff for nearly 16 years but I still consider Australia to be home. In just over a week's time I'm taking my kids home to be with family and friends for Christmas. It's been 5 years since they visited their Australian family. They were 7 and 5; they're now 12 and 10. We can't wait.

Working at PeerJ

Working at PeerJ. Doing lots of CI pipeline work at the moment, migrating legacy Phing build files (think Apache Ant) running on self-managed Jenkins, to a simple Makefile running on GitHub Actions. Lots of Terraform, Ansible, AWS, scripting… there's so much work to do, which is great.

5-3-1

I've been doing 5-3-1 nearly 2 years. I'm probably the strongest I've ever been.

DIY

I'm slowly making progress fixing up the house. I've given my daughter's room a makeover and sorted the kitchen out. The garage is full of stuff that needs to be sold, donated or chucked. It feels like the process will never end, but every now and then I see the light at the end of the tunnel.
